Founded in 1970 with a focus on practical experience and academic research,  ISWA's mission is to promote  and develop sustainable and professional waste management worldwide. ISWA works to protect human health and the environment as well as to ensure sustainable resource management 

Avfall Norge is the Norwegian waste management and recycling association, working towards the vision that “tomorrow's raw materials are recycled.” It is leveraging 30 years of industry-specific knowledge to promote and develop socially responsible waste management policies in Norway and Europe. From 2019 the organisation is also engaged in international development work, contributing to improved waste management and reducing marine plastics pollution. Avfall Norge has around 200 members, both from the private and public sector, responsible for the treatment of more than 95 percent of all household waste in Norway. Avfall Norge offers training and guidance, ensures sound policies and constructive political dialogue, and initiates research and development projects to build industry capacity. 

Founded by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus, the Yunus Environment Hub is the global social business network creating solutions to the environmental crisis. The diverse work is based on over 40 years of Grameen's experience in developing and implementing social business solutions.
Building on this, Yunus Environment Hub provides expertise along the four pillars of incubation, venture building, consulting & training, and education.  The Yunus Environment Hub develops, promotes and implements innovative social business solutions in a variety of projects on relevant environmental topics such as circular economy, plastic pollution, CO2 emissions, biodiversity and renewable energies.

Plastic Smart Cities is a WWF initiative that supports a no plastic in nature agenda. Since 2018, the initiative has supported cities and coastal centers in taking bold action to stop plastic pollution, with a goal to reduce plastic leakage into nature by 30% in the near term, and achieving no plastics in nature by 2030.
