In order to increase the operational efficiency Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) has implemented an innovative financial model “Driver cum Owner” where anybody can own Swachh Autos under the Tri-party agreement between GWMC, Bank and the Auto Owner.
Under this Scheme, the Swatch auto driver has the responsibility of collecting the waste from the households by collecting the user fee from the household while the GWMC will pay the EMI for the Vehicle cost to the bank. In this approach, there is onus on the swatch auto driver to collect the Waste from Households with little supervision (Auto’s monitored by GPS) by the GWMC staff.
