Adapting & Mitigating Climate Change: Options for Cities Amsterdam and Rotterdam, The Netherlands, 1-4, September 2014.
This exciting opportunity is aimed at (but not limited to) high-level local officials and senior-level policy and decision makers. It will be focused on actual participant-driven case studies that will aim to increase participants’ knowledge on urban development challenges related to climate change. The Academy will promote learning and capacity building on the topic of cities and climate change and will foster a meaningful dialogue on how cities are responding to these challenges. Fellowships are offered for costs incurred including travel to and from home country, lectures and site visits, local accommodation, meals, and local transport. The selection is competitive for the limited number of fellowships. The Registration Form Shelter Academy 2014 should be sent to uni@unhabitat.org not later than May 30th (selected participants should send their case study in Powerpoint format no later than July 1st). For further information, see the Shelter-brochure 2014 for programme and registration information or contact Ms. Sandrine Cardon: sandrine.cardon@unhabitat.org.
