New York, 4 July 2022 - Under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council (COSOC), the United Nations High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) will hold its meetings 5-7 July and 11-15 July. The High-Level segment of the meetings will conclude 18 July.
The theme of the 2022 High-Level Political Forum is “Building back better from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) while advancing the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development ”.
In addition to examining progress on a number of specific Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the meetings will include a series of high-level ministerial meetings, side events, and exhibitions.
Forty-four countries will carry out voluntary national reviews (VNRs) of their implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
This week’s meeting follows another High-Level meeting in April called by the President of the United Nations General Assembly, in collaboration with UN-Habitat, to assess progress in the implementation of the New Urban Agenda.
